time out for all the family

Summer holidays at Lake Achensee

For all those in search of peace and quiet combined with outdoor activities, there really is no place better than the region around Lake Achensee. Hiking, biking, water sports or golf - whatever you're into, this stunningly beautiful area offers something for everyone.

Spend your next family holiday at the "Sea of Tyrol"!

Exclusive access

Private jetty for hotel guests only

Swimming on a hot summer's day in one of the Tyrol's most beautiful lakes is already a pretty special experience in itself. What makes it even more special, however, is accessing the lake from our private jetty reserved for hotel guests only.

Pick up a cool drink from the café, lie back, relax and enjoy total peace and quiet on the shores of Lake Achensee!

Ship ahoy

Days out on the lake

A trip on one of the region's sightseeing boats is a great way to get a new perspective on the area, particularly the peaks of the mighty Karwendel and Rofan Mountains.

The main stops of the sightseeing boats (with wheelchair-friendly access) can be reached quickly and easily from the Seehotel Einwaller.

Tip!
Boat rental in Pertisau

Visitors who would like to explore Lake Achensee on their own can hire a boat in Pertisau, right next to the hotel. Please speak to a member of staff at reception for details.

Combined offers

There are special combined offers available for the railway line, sightseeing boats, Rofanseilbahn cable car and Karwendelbergbahn cable car. Children born in or after 2011 receive a 50% discount on combined offers including the railway line.

The Achenseebahn is a steam-powered rack and pinion railway line built 130 years ago to transport wood from the nearby valleys. Today it is a popular tourist attraction welcoming 100,000 passengers a year.

scale the heights

Via ferrata & high-rope adventure parks

Those with a head for heights will love the area around Lake Achensee. The high-rope adventure park in Achenkirch has seven different obstacle courses for adults and children with lots of tree trunks, hanging bridges and wobbly nets to test your nerve and balance. There are also plenty of via ferrata fixed-rope climbing routes in the region with handholds and footholds as well as a metal cable anchored to the rock face for safety.

We recommend the via ferrata up onto the Lamsenspitze in the Karwendel Mountains. There is also the longer "Achensee-5 Gipfel-Klettersteig" in the Rofan Mountains, which can be split up into several stages.

Tip!
Activities for teenagers

Youngsters aged 12-16 years can try out a new activity every day from Monday to Friday: Segway, Stand-up-Paddle, rock climbing and much more await!
